    Write things down!!

I hate when I don't and the old peanut doesn't work clearly. Was on some forum a while back and read a T/L recipe which I THINK was 50/50 Alox and turpentine. It was specified that it had to be real turps, not synthetic. Went so far as to mix some and try it in my .445, totally satisfied, problem is my bottle has dried up and so have my brain cells. Not sure on the mixture, any of you fellas know about this one? Promise I'll put it in my book. GW

GW- Were you thinking of Ben's Liquid Lube. 60/40 liquid alox and Johnsons liquid Floorwax?

No, and haven't tried it yet,but I will. Ran up on this one and tried it as I had the ingredients handy seemed to work well. Figured it would be bst to keep proportions the same. GW

Write it down, make 6 copies and put them in different places and you just might find one copy when you need it...maybe. I usually find one when I'm looking for something else.

Not familiar with the alox/ turpentine lube recipe, sorry .
I write the mix on the bottle , sometimes that helps.

I have a digital diary broken down by calibers and other topics. Helps to keep everything organized. Told my wife when i die to publish it all as my memoirs.

My whole problem with writing something down,is I wind up forgetting where I put my notes.Had a bunch of info in a notebook.THEN,I forgot where I put it.I think I have a bad case of the CRS disease.
    Good luck.Have fun.Be safe.

I don't write down all my test loading data , I only keep track of my favorite loads so over the years I have reworked a lot of loads - later remembering I have already tried that combination of components .
So if the load isn't written on the ammo box to go with that particular rifle , it's like I found a new rifle in the cabinet .
    Yaaaay project !!!

i always try to write things down but usually forget that i did can't find list or forget to take it with me. i usually don't travel without my better half at times i forget where i am going and just keep driving. usually don't get more than twenty miles or so and realize i don't know where i am going and just go back home. it really bugs me when i do this because i feel foolish.

I write everything down, recipes, load data, sight and scope settings....all part of the game. Whatever gets stored in the gray matter is just down to luck and mistakes

Every rifle has a range box. Every range box has a note book. Every note book has a pen. .......I just have to remember what it's there for.

That makes me think. I keep track of all my loads, but not lube mixes. I think I am going to start a log for them now, especially now that I am starting to experiment with greese cookies. Thanks for the idea.

I needed to make up some lube a couple of weeks ago. I couldn't find the recipe but got everything worked out in my head, lucky it was only 3 ingredients.
After pouring up a dozen sticks of said lube and went to put them with the 2 I had left. Guess where the recipe was? With the last 2 sticks of lube!

My biggest problem is that I hide stuff from myself and can't remember where I put it.
