Tom @ Accurate Molds does it again.

I recently picked up a Ruger Super Blackhawk Bisley 480 Ruger and have an LBT 410gr LFN ordered and I wanted another mold that threw 275gr bullets but did not find any that I thought would fill the bill so I used TMT Pages design software to draw up one and sent it to Tom @ Accurate Molds and he added it for me and I ordered a 4 cavity and it is a work of aluminum art. The design # is 48-270D

I got a chance to cast up a few and as always they started dropping great bullets as soon as the mold got up to temp. With the alloy I had in the pot they dropped @ .478 and weight is 279gr-280gr for the few I weighed. This design is groove less for HiTek coating or PC coating. I think they came out great and a huge thanks to Tom @ Accurate Molds as well as Tom @ TMT PAGES.

If anyone has the 10mm Ruger revolvers, these will open up your horizons to a whole new realm of possibilities:

I had John Taylor build a RIFLE to exploit these.

Have never has anything but praise for Tom's work. That's an interesting bullet. I wondered where the lube grooves were but what you posted makes sense. With that nice meplat it should make a good hunting bullet.

I hope it will be a good all around bullet in my 4 5/8" 480 Ruger SBH and think it will be accurate, using TMT Pages software to draw it I got the balance as close to center as I could. It is amazing how small changes affect the balance of a bullet.

That is a beautiful boolit. I like the little "dinner plate" on top.

Tom makes a nice looking mold. I received my new one recently but I won't get a chance to cast with it until after the first. Its a thing of beauty. His delivery time was about a 1/3rd faster than estimated too!

I don't think there is a better mold maker in existence. Tom definitely knows a thing or two about building molds and providing customer service.

Once again I ordered a new mold from Tom on Monday and I am casting with it by Friday. Always beautiful and always cast some of the best bullets I have ever seen.

Recent order for 2cavity 43- 230E in iron ordered Friday had it on Monday. I will not not buy another mould from anyone if Tom makes it.

Well, I did not get to cast with the mold that I got for Christmas until today. I cleaned it with brake clean, heated it on the hot plate and lubed it. I cast about 5 molds worth of bullets and started getting keepers. It cast great! The bullets drop out easy. The sprue plate fits tightly yet swings freely. Just a pleasure to cast with. This was a learning experience for me, being my first aluminum mold in 40 something years. And a bullet more than twice the weight that I normally cast. I'll be buying more!

I needed a mould for my .33 Winchester and looked at Accurate Moulds, found the design I wanted and ordered. My mould quickly arrived and it drops perfect .340" bullets from COWW+2%tin just as I requested. Every thing in life should go as smoothly as ordering from Accurate!

Nice mold, nice looking bullets. Tom created the 45-185O for me. Someday soon I hope to have my first casting session with it.
