Any Ideas for quick run buys??

Arsenal Molds wants to drum up some new ideas and offer some more quick runs.

Let’s have some discussions on what people would like to see.
He is very flexible in design but only offers solid non hollow point designs.

    Any input is good input.

    Thanks!

There's three designs that caught my attention recently, a .45 "collar button", a classic .44 keith, and the "pointy" .500 - that sent me looking for that design in .44 and .45

I'd sign up for a Himmelwright wadcutter in .44, Lyman mold #429220 I think?

I'd be interested in the following:

.453" or .454" 250 grain WFN with a short base to crimp groove dimension for 45 AR. NLG option would be good.

I would like to see a variation of the Lyman #429478 210gr RN.

With a Meplat of about .250 and a crimp groove right below the front driving band.

And an as cast Diameter of .432

I'd be interested in a gas checked by 45-270 SAA for use in a rifle.

He was asked some time ago about making a .308 cal version of the "Bowman" bullet.... ie a scaled up 257420 at about 120 gr.... That seems to have gotten lost in the shuffle....

I would like some round ball molds for common cap and ball pistols, like six or 12 cav .380" or .451. always interested in 11mm rifle, or 44 American, like 446-450" Or something like .229 to .230 70 grains, w/wo gas checked or more for my Savage high power.

I'd dig a 425-450 gr diminsional copy of a 300 gr TAC-X with a Sqibb style GC shank/rebated BT . Nose as needed , as long as it stays the same as the original , even if it needs a full omission of the poly nose form .

    I second the Lyman 429478, in a .432 offering.
    KE4GWE - - - - - - Colt 1860, it just feels right.

It’s going to be tough to do a buy for each single need but if you would like I can put together a pole and you guys can vote.

Please post your design pic and I will do a pole with 4-5 designs and we can vote on it.

We will also need a few bullets to measure so a drawing can be made.

I would like to see a copy of the Lyman 311414. The key is the reduced nose diameter to allow for PC coating and good feeding in the 300 Blackout. Driving bands should be no longer than .302 or .303 due to the short neck. The nose could be rounded off some as well, would make for better push thru sizing.

I'd be all over a 5 or 6 cavity (or more) copy of the Lee 30 cal soup can.

Something a buddy and I have been discussing is a Lyman 358156 but shrunk down to .314 for 327, 32H&R Mag, 32 S&W Long and 32/20. Something around 115gr-120gr??

How about the 8mm Mauser/hunting mold group buy that has been going on for over 6 years?

I do not have a particular design in mind. But a max heavy (or close to max) bullet for following calibers

    7.62x54r, .22 TCM (or even .22 R TCM), .458 socom , .338 spectre

with gas checks, and not too deep lube grooves (so that people can choose to powder coat or not).

sorry for not being more precise.

I want a 425-450 gr diminsional copy of the 300 gr TAC-X . That would get you the 450 or 458 bullet and me the same for 45-70 and 45 Raptor .

    41 cal Round Nose

41 cal molds are a bit rare, especially certain shapes...so when there is a group buy, those of us that shoot the 41, usually jump on board. While I have many 41 cal molds, the only RN mold I had was a lyman 410426 that cast smaller diameter than I liked and also heavier than I liked (246gr), so I sold it.

So, maybe 411 Round Nose, single lube groove and a crimp groove, shaped like the Lyman 410426, but only lightened up to 230gr would be my preference.
