I've been powder coating exclusively for a couple years now. When I first started I remember thinking that there seemed to be less smoke that traditionally lubed bullets. I went to the range the other day and was shooting my .45 Colt. After the first cylinder I wondered about all the smoke, then I realized that I was using ammo I had loaded previous to starting powder coating. What a difference!

I'm a bit of a traditionalist, and resisted going to "painted bullets" for a long time because I liked doing it the old way, but now I wouldn't go back for anything. To me it's been revolutionary, a huge improvement in the whole casting process.
