    Any Lyman 311299 casters?

If you cast with this mold, what is the nose diameter of your bullets?

    Thanks.

.299-.300 which is the "Bore Diameter" of most .30 cal Rifles. Grooves will be .308 which is .004 on a side. Boolits usually drop around .310 at the driving bands. The boolit was designed to be cast from Linotype material but we have found Wheel Weight material to work well too.

Also some tin added to the mix helps fill out this long skinny boolit.

This is a "Bore Rider" design in which the majority of the boolit (the nose) is supported and aligned with the center line of the bore of the rifle, and then the driving bands take the rifling and impart spin to the boolit.

314299 works really well in Enfield Rifles. Bore of .303. Grooves at .313 on a good barrel.

    Same here, .299-.300.

My 311299 is a 2013 mould and casts a .299-.300 and.310 driving bands, out of #2 alloy, and a NOE 314299 PB drops them .302 and .314. Have not used the PB bullets yet, but should shoot well in the Krags

Could never get it to drop with .300 nose. Sold it and bought a 314299.
It would spin in the muzzle until it caught the widest part at the mold marks.
