    Unknown Mold

I have a mold i acquired from my deceased uncle in law. I'm not sure what it's to in all honesty. There were two bullets left in the mold and they measure .318 and .320, coming in at 123 and 124 grains of unknown alloy mix. it clearly needs to be cleaned up but i'm hoping someone could help me identify the mold. it's not aluminum (it's heavy metal of some sort) and there are no markings on it like the LEE molds i have. there are 4 bullet cavities. the two bullets do not appear to have a recess for a gas check so i'm assuming it's probably a pistol mold. though to be honest, i've never seen a bullet with a recess for gas check so i could be wrong.

my first guess.. is a 32 s&w long or 32 h&R magnum but the bullet weights seem too far off/different.

    Sorry for the blurry photo..

What is the name on the mold or a picture of the mold showing the cavities too?
    Regards

Rather than the base shape being for a gas check, it looks like the boolits have a bevel base (BB). A clearer photo may change my opinion.

    +1 on John Boy's suggestion.

    Henry

.318-.320" and 124-ish grains is a bit large in diameter for any of the common .32 cal handgun rounds, while being a bit small for 8mm rifles.

It is a pretty decent looking SWC though, maybe it was meant for a lighter weight plinker for an oversized .31 like the .303 or 7.62x54?

Any chance of getting a picture of the mold itself?

Maybe a 32/20 with a bevel base? I appears the bullet on the left is either damaged or some modification was made? But that doesn't help identify the mold.

There's... a LIST of guns. He was a collector w/ over 200 firearms of various calibers and types muzzle, rifle, pistol, i think he even has a small cannon. I'll take some pictures of the mold while i clean the mold up and pour a clean bullet or 6.

My guess is like me he didn't have any weapons, but a lot of firearms.
