    oh well did it again

yep went to gun store to pick up a transfer and came home with 4 guns . just couldn't help myself and they saw me comming. got my transfer and gunsmith came out of back and asked if i was the one hat likes the old guns. long story short came out with a sw hand ejector 32 a iver johnson and a us arms 32 top break 3 for 80 dollars all three need a little love. they said it just wouldn't pay to put anything into them as everyone wants the latest plastic fantastic. the sw will cost all of fourteen dollars to fix the iver johnson even less the us arms really might not be worth fixing and end up as parts as i just love the little top break guns. but the sw is worth a good bit more than what i paid for all. has a nice nickle finish with flawless bore good lockupand sw pearl grips ( or pearl like).

I have 2 of the S&W's , one blue and one still mostly nickel. The nickel one shoots to point of aim with most loads, the blue one not so much, but really fun to blast at the steel in the back yard "gunfighter style" ! You made out great on the Smith alone.

the only problem is i told my better half that i was going to cut back a little on buying and the one i went to pickup i convinced her i bought by mistake. didn't really mean to bid on it. then i came home with 3 more oh well i am glad she is understanding sometimes a deal is just to good to pass up. she told me she has seen some jewelry that was a darn good deal to! not much i can say.

I just picked up an XDM 10mm and LGS saw me looking around and said he could fit four more on the form if I wanted. He didn't have anything that interested me enough. Yet.

I finally figured out what to do with some old revolvers that I had laying around. Rather than leave them in a drawer or box hidden away I put them in a shadow box and put them on the wall in my reloading area.Click image for larger version.

oh i am not going to cut them up the smith needs a new extractor i would rebuild it and recut it but it is only $14 so i will gust buy one the iver johnson needs a return spring for the trigger at $5 the us arms needs return spring and a barrel not sure i want to invest the $50 to fix it . will depend on getting the remaining nickel off and how well it will buff up for blueing. all in all it will give me something to do for a while.

I was going to suggest you tell your wife that you needed some projects, to work on, but that would probably backfire, as my wife would come up with plenty of "projects" that I have put off, for her. LOL Nice pickups there Red Bear.

texas by god sorry sometimes i am just a little slow guess thats part of being an old fart. as far as projects for me there is a growing list. still have two end tables that i have been working on for a year and a half. in winter its to cold to coat them and in summer its to hot in garage. she noticed its never to hot or cold to work on a gun.
