    Several Firsts......

This is my first kill with my reloaded CBs. This was also the first time hunting with a pistol and also my first time filming my hunt. Shot this little dude at 23yrs just before dark with my Smith 686-1 open sights using a SWC 158gr Lyman mould sized to .358 and pushed just south of 1200fps using Unique powder. It's not a heavy mag load by any means, but it does have some thump to it. I think I'm gonna like this pistol hunting venture for sure....lol

Nice going, revolvers and open sights add to the challenge! Seems as if your load is fully up to the task, congratulations!

Javelinas are neat little critters. I went hunting them once about 20 years ago and got one with a 6mm using jacketed bullets. I think I ought to look into trying that again some time.

Yup, 686-1 with a 6" tube. Super accurate with the Ideal 357446 boolit sized at .358.

Fellow central Texan here. Joel. That picture has my mouth watering! My BIL shot 2 about that size last week, right at dark. Perfect size for the BBQ pit. We skinned em, gut em, then split em right down the backbone with a Sawz-All. Welcome to the forum, Joel. TreeTop
