    Savage custom shop

    Just what can they actually do? IS it simply tossing on a different barrel and what not, or can you get creative?

    You'll have to ask them. I've heard that you can arrange a tour to assemble your own rifle. I think I read that before.

    I went to their site and they call it a Special Order shop. One of the things they may do is use components they already have to make up a caliber in a model that the caliber is not listed for. I saw a 260 Remington in one model, they might put the barrel on another model.

    For other things you have to call them. Doesn't sound like the old Winchester or Remington custom shops where some special rifles were made up of different barrel lengths and such.
