    Smallest RF bore size?

    Guys

What is the smallest bore size, you have found in a 22 caliber RF bbl, that you have measured?

For commonly available rifles, CZ is the tightest.

I assume you mean BORE, as in tops of the lands? I remember having gauged one at .2135, using pin gauges. Ought to remember what gun it came from, but I don't at the moment. I have a pile of takeoff barrels that I use for rebarreling old single shot boys' rifles. It was one of those.

    Thank you for that info,
IF you can find which brand name the bbl was, I would greatly appreciate that info,
I have a project I am working on and want the smallest bore size (top of the lands) for use with 22 cal pellets etc.

I have a wild itch I need to scratch, LOL

That's about where most CZ 452 and 455 barrels pin out to also. They have exceptionally deep grooves.

The smallest mass produced bore diameter barrel I've ever run across I made a plug for it and used my Sheffield air gage on it - measured a consistent .2141 from an inch in front of the chamber to within a half in of the muzzle came off a model "B" Mossberg with a damaged action. The first inch was about .0004 larger and the last half inch was .0003 larger. I left it alone and fit it to a Remington action that I don't recall, it shoots exceptionally well for the guy.
The smallest non-mass produced is a barrel I got from Gene Rumfelt when he was making barrels, it gages around .213 if I remember right, I have it on one of MOA's stainless 10-22 actions back when Richard was making them and it shoots better than most.

I have some Kolibri in 4 mm. They were for a little German derringer.
