Question Need some 6.5 Creedmore help for new memeber.

Been casting pistol/revolver bullets for years. Lubed and powdercoated. Work great.

Now getting into rifles. Looking for advice to cast for Ruger American Predator in 6.5 Creedmore.

Not high power loads but what were called "mid-range" loads. 200 yards max, low recoil.

Have NOE and NEI molds and like both. Also hear good things about Accurate.

    Thanks in advance !

I currently have 2 cartridges I don't plan to cast for, 6.5 CM and 204 Ruger. I cast for lots of other cartridges, just don't feel the need to cast for those. More power to you and lots here can help you with that. Should do well as long as you limit pressure and velocity to reasonable levels for cast.

    Welcome to Castboolits!

I'm a 6.5 fan as well but only shoot jacketed in it. Here's an old thread on the Lee 6.5mm Cruise Missile. http://castboolits.gunloads.com/show...Cruise-Missile

It's a 170 grain boolit but your 1:8 twist should be fast enough for it. The Swedish Mausers in 6.5x55 had a 1:7.8 twist. I believe Lee has discontinued the mold but this is at least some information from others that have cast and loaded the 6.5. Good luck!

It might be possible to get good accuracy, but your gonna have to do some research and testing. The 'Cruise Missile' thread is interesting...

Hi. I have that mold and I'm shooting it in a 260 REM. You may also find this thread interesting. It mainly deals with the 260 REM, but the bullet (.264/6.5mm) is the same and you can see some of the development efforts. Ed
