    80% jig

my search did not turn up any recent reviews of 80% ar15 jigs and I am seriously thinking I need a ghost gun before they get outlawed. I figure to do several to make the jig cost worth wile so I want one that can be reused and is of good quality.

any body have a brand that they have actually used and can recommend, any tips or tricks or pitfalls to look out for?

Did the base on your router come with that 5D jig or is that something you got somewhere else ? Does the jig come with everything needed but the router and bit ?

IF you have the right router and take your time (especially when you get deeper) it is pretty much idiot proof. (I'm not insinuating anything ---- at least not about you LOL)

This is one that I saw yesterday. It has a good video on youtube. I have not used it (I know you asked for some one who has used jig), but it looks like it would be a great choice. Might take a look at it.

Yah, I got a bad habit of asking a question before I realize I already know the answer. I'm reasonably sure that's a Bosch Router in Grmps pic. which I have also. I'm just not sure I can afford another sideline to my Casting/Swaging/Reloading/Shooting Hobby.

I use the 5D Tactical, very easy to set up and use. Go tho the website and they explain everything.

You can also get it at New Frontier Armory along with 80% lowers https://newfrontierarmory.com/ NFA also sells a 80% jig that you can use just a drill to do the lower. Saw one done that way, doesn't look great but the lower functions fine functions fine (you also get the template to use a milling machine if you have one).

Still doing research, but couldn't find anything on the 5D site that would allow me to make a 9mm lower for magazines NOT GLOCK ! The only Serialed lower prices I have found are outrageous. Guess I just don't need one. But Hey, "Don't give up just before the Miracle happens" !

Check out Daytona Tactical, I bought there jig for use in my mill and all my buddies used it for there projects too. Works good for a jig. I had to buy bits on amazon and thru a tool company online. DT has the best price on 80% lowers out there too...
