I ended up getting this exact mold. Seemed to have the best combo of availability, driving band, and BC. Will give it a shot and see where I need to go from there. I'll have to try 4198 first since it was mentioned here by someone. I assume 4350 will not be an appropriate powder to try first if at all. Can try W-872 next since I have so much of it.

Size it slightly less (1/2 thou) than the throat size of your chamber..

    Update:

So I bought the NOE 289 grain mold, plain base. So far, so good.

Load developed with Blue dot and 4198 hoping for the best.

Blue dot was by far a more superior shooting powder. I found a GREAT GREAT node at 1600 fps. for velocity. Unfortunately, as you might imagine, group size left ALOT ot be desired!

However, there is a promising group at 1320 fps with great velocity SD also. it drops like a rock, but after a little more work it will be ready to see how far it can be shot. still hoping for multiple hundreds of yards.
