worse than squirrels! Be glad you don't have hogs....they would root the tree up then eat feeder and all!

This trio would raid the wildlife feeding area every day during the summer. I use the old fountain for a feeder, and put sunflower seeds and birdseed mix in it daily. The deer really developed a taste for it.

Same scene today...... everyone went south for the winter except me.

Not to mention the incessant squealing while they do it.

I had a squirrel literally chew through the side of my storage porch to get at sunflower seeds. Amazing. Those things are like heroin to animals...they will do anything to get them. I wouldn't want to see what a bear would do for them.

Perfect for states that have outlawed deer feeders but I know you wouldn't have thought of that......

Have a bear that has broken three bird feeders. My yard is fenced in and I have a Great Pyreneese (puppy 1 1/2 yrs old). It doesn't care. First one he broke was a Squirrel Buster one. Worked great for squirrels, not so good for bears.

Thats a cool picture! My Wife and I feed the birds and have several feeders. We buy Sunflower seeds 50# at a time. I had to buy a metal trash can to store them in and to keep the Squirrels out. They quickly chewed through the plastic one.

This little guy used to sneak right up in the front yard and eat Mom's roses...If Bubbie happened to notice he's have a fit until I let him out to chase him off the property.
It turns out that he used to hang out behind one of the barns, when Bubbie discovered that he would check every day and route the little Buck out.
One time the Buck had enough and turned on Bubbie, lowered his horns and came like a bulldozer at Bubbie...guess who doesn't route the little Buck anymore?
