    Hogshot Hamicide

Why call 'em buckshot? I prefer hogshot. My "perfect" hogshot 12 pellet .311, 2 3/4" loads vs live targets last week in Savanna river swamp. Monday's take from a hard day stalking with an old polychoked barrel on my 870 police topped with a vortex red dot. Shots from 20 - 38 yds

I like your shotgun, I have a Model 12 in 12 gauge with a polychoke, installed after the gun was made. But I can't bring myself to drill and tap it for an optic.

My DAD shot TRAP & SKEET with fine BROWNING Single-Shots and Over & Unders.
He Hunted with a beat up Model 12 with a Vented PolyChoke. He loved it.

Did you stalk them? Or get them in a "hambush"?

Hogtamer, how do you like the saddle mount you have on the shotgun? Does it hold zero?

Would like to scope up my 870 slugger.

I don't want to go with drilling my receiver.

Stalking big riverbottom woods. Hickok, I love this mount, but went through a couple that were just shabby. This one is aluminum, mounts with precision screws that replace the pins and solid as a rock. UTG is the manufacturer. Here's a link.

It's an 870 Wingmaster police, 3" chamber, original barrel is 20" fixed IC, extended magazine. UTG saddle mount, vortex red dot. My buckshot load patrerns best from full choke. Just for kicks I put that old Poly choked barrel instead of my 28" barrel with Remchokes. The hogs didn't thinks it was funny though! Recovered 7 of 8 with buckshot, 8 of 9 with slugs. A couple of the nice ones went for sausage.
