    Chestnuts

My wife brought home a pound of chestnuts today. I pricked a couple of them and put them in the Microwave.
They didn't start to spin, but I saw a spurt of steam from one of them at just under 20 seconds. Umm, umm good! We have an agreement. Whoever doesn't watch them close enough gets to clean the microwave.

He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

I cut through the shell with two cuts to make an X. The edges of the cut will open a little as they cook, making them easy to peel. No chance to explode.
