    Big Green Handgun

    https://www.guns.com/news/2018/11/16...alibers-photos

Remington brings back a bolt action handgun.

I'm a little P.O.'d at big green at the moment. My last two purchases from them were not to my liking, horrid QC. I think I'll pass on these. Gp

Me like!!! Course, I like the xp100. Killed my first deer with one, in 308!!

Would make a great production gun, if it makes weight, in IHMSA.

I would get one in 300 blk as I have my 308 XP and a 223XP.

    Great for us leftys

IMHO . . . Remington deserves to go bankrupt if that's the kind of designs they are going to put out. Old Eli must be rolling in his grave . . . .

Maybe they’re trying to capture some buyers that won’t pony up for Nosler’s bolt action pistol. I find this whole design to be stupid. But then again I question what people consider to be a “handgun” quite often.

It's interesting, but I'll stick with my T/C Contenders.

Not just "NO", but (expletive deleted) NO. Just a waste of an otherwise good rifle action, assuming of course that Remington can screw on a barrel straight and bed the action decently.
I don't paint bullets. I like Black Rifle Coffee. Sacred cows are always fair game. California is to the United States what Syria is to Russia and North Korea is to China/South Korea/Japan--a Hermit Kingdom detached from the real world and led by delusional maniacs, an economic and social basket case sustained by "foreign" aid so as to not lose military bases.

Hmmmmm.........I guess I might be the odd duck out on this one and hope I can find a used one in the 700 dollar range. I have often thought a Ruger Precision handgun would be the ticket....guess Remington beat them to it.

I'd hunt with a borrowed one. Bolt action pistols have never been inexpensive. It needs a buffer tube for an arm brace......

Loved the XP-100, not so much this "tacticool" toy. Would have preferred that they made it more like a newer XP-100.

    Not for me.

A few observations on bolt action handheld guns-- The bolt needs to be operable by the off hand, i.e. a left hand bolt for a right hand gun. If manufacturers insist on using detachable box magazines, especially in .223 based cartridges, why don't they just use AR-15 compatible magwells?

I would like a more "traditional" look also. the removeable mag should be more in the classic lines. One plus is it looks like it does away with the trigger linkage of the XP100 with the forward grip.

Having to put something that clunky looking in the safe alongside my XP-100 and SSK Contender would be embarrassing.

Just no. Why the attempted to make it tacticool is beyond me.

I'm going to sue Remington! They stole my design! I drew that exact same handgun while sitting in the back row of my 7th grade Geometry class!
