What is a Jword boolit anyway?
No clue, ask one of the guys who shoots candied Jellybean boolits...

Some of the people on this site don't want to discuss or even mention jacketed bullets so they use a code word instead.
Don't know why people dislike jacketed bullets so much, after all, they are filled with lead.
Sheesh, I just type 'bullets'.

There is no 'right' that requires me to work for you or you to work for me!
Easier than trying to spell projectiles.
Like a few others, I fail to understand the weird, eccentric suppression of the word "jacketed", but this is otherwise an excellent site.
Just a light hearted comical reference. don't read too much into it.
augercreek,
That is a fine question.
Since you posted it in the section titled, "Cast Boolits" which has a description (quoted below), I would have thought it might be obvious.
Yes, that description is tongue-in-cheek...and our use of the term "J-Words" as a weird, eccentric suppression of a projectile that isn't a Boolit...is also tongue-in-cheek.The place to discuss our favorite pb projectiles. Boolits = as God laid it into the soil, Grand Old Galena, The Silver Stream graciously hand poured into molds for our consumption. . . Bullets= Machine made utilizing Full Length Gas Checks as to provide projectiles for the masses.

Okay, I get it. Thanks for clearing that up. I always wondered about that. I should have asked.
One time, before I had my morning coffee, I saw "J-Word" and thought the poster was Antisemitic...

I shoot both J-word and Cast...I like both for various reasons and their intended purposes...so I don't have a problem using the word jacketed around here.

The only stupid question...is the unasked one.

cast boolits are giving to us by God Almighty. j word are giving to us by Lucifer.
It is derived from an old cast bullet forum that did not allow it's members to use the term "Jacketed" in any of it's communications. It somehow was transferred here by those members who later came here.
I read of some "moosleem" bullets; FMJ dipped in pig poop...
