The bolt looks like a Mannlicher, possibly a 22 variation of the 1908 Mannlicher-Schoenuer.

i think the split reciever puts it in manlicher mosin nagant or carcano lines.

Just a variation on a 22.....most 22s have the handle halfway along,so it can lock in a convenient spot......nothing special IMHO........yeah,some experts on that forum.....Pics couldnt be much less use either.

For the guy who called it a mauser ive got a weatherby mark v that stamped savage axis that id like to sell him.

Savage made .22 rifles like that in the 1930's. The Savage J Stevens Springfield Model 15 for example. But they didn't have the full length Mannlicher style stocks though. Probably Duo made some rifles based on the Savage design or whomever came up with that design first. The set triggers is pretty neat though. If it wasn't for the cocking knob it could have been a Mauser made gun. Anyway that is my thought on it.

I have no idea who made it, but the double set triggers seem to be more European as does the cheek piece. The stock does not appear to be a one piece? I wonder if it isn't something that has been modified.
