I've been shooting '51 Navies for over 50 years - have had many different ones - unfortunately - I don't have any photos to post. I just picked up a NIB Uberti Walker from a member on this site - always wanted the "Walker experience" and can't wait until I get back to MI in the spring to shoot it. A Walker is sort of like a '51 Navy only one that's been on growth hormones!

Cap and ball revolvers are a sickness. I have some that I forgot about and I can't part with any of them. Here in the Northeast there's lots of them which doesn't help.

I'm in the process of building a Pietta Man With No Name 1851 .36 caliber revolver. I still have to get a few more needed parts and a screw kit from Dixie gun works. Then I'll be assembling it. I'm building it from parts. And as of the moment, I'm building it on a brass frame, when it arrives.
Battis, bottom left picture, top revolver, is that a Savage or Pettingill? I NEVER can keep them straight!! Or...is it something else and I've lost what little memory I have?
I have a few and a picture of them but, no way to post since photojunkit went south.

I did locate a photo of my favorite '51 Navy. This one is a Uberti. I was going to "antique" it bought it NIB from a guy who bought it and then never used it. Got it at an extremely low price so figured I would antique it and see how i liked it. I tore it town, stripped the blueing with vinegar - polished and then used Plum Brown on it. I was then going to steel wool and hit the high spots - once I got it browned, I liked it so well I just left it that way. I stripped the grips and put a primitive Masonic Square & Compass on one side since I knew I was keeping this one for sure. (I've been a Mason for 42 years). I made a nice slim jim holster for it with a simple floral pattern for it - unfortunately I don't have a photo of the leather.
I've owned probably a dozen or so '51s over the years and this one has been my favorite of them all. I like the square back trigger guard and the cap groove in the recoil shield cut-out. Makes for easy finger capping.
I've owned several .44s over the years. I had a nice fluted '60 Army that I bought from Dixie in the early 70's. I sold it to a friend who wanted it in the worst way - kind of wished I hadn't.
I currently have a Pietta 1858 "Navy" - not really a true copy but a good shooting .36 and I have no complaints on it at all.
My next C & B on my bucket list is either a Uberti "62 Pocket Navy or another '60 Army.
I like the '51 so well that I got a Richards & Mason conversion - Uberti - a few months ago. It's in 38 Spl. but am loading 38 Colt Long and Short for it. A good shooter and well balanced.
C & B revolvers are just plain addicting - anyone who has an interest in BP and loves to smell the sulphur owes it to themselves to have at least one . . . which of course will lead to many more!
That's a Savage & North .36. I shoot it and actually bought two extra cylinders on ebay a few years ago. The revolver under the Savage & North further up is a Whitney .36. The store sold it to me as a "pre-Italian copy". It's an original - their mistake. The gun next to the quarter is a Warner .28 and the next one down is a Bacon .31.is that a Savage or Pettingill?

Next is a '51 Colt similarly altered.
The grips on both guns were made from home-grown walnut lumber from felled trees in our yard.
