    Above from a doe at 40 yards 357 Herrett 200gr(actual wt 217) RCBS clone, eh 1400 maybe 1500 FPS, never checked it for velocity, very accurate. Alloy was probably 1.5/1.5/97. Ran 20 yards, jumped a cattle fence!! And landed in a pile.

    You didn't find that one in Oregon? I take pics of mine for this years season. It starts Thanksgiving Holiday here in FL.

    Tell us more about that hunt - what part of the world were you hunting? 20 yds from a Cape Buffalo is too darn close! {g}

    That was 2015 we were in the Limpopo District of South Africa. I took the buffalo and a very nice Kudu bull. The wife got a spectacular Gems Buck, an Impala and a Zebra.

    As for the buffalo hunt we spent three days working them in the thorn brush. At times we were so close you could smell and hear them but couldn't see them. We nearly stepped on four bulls bedded in a patch of thorn, when they ran they were only about 10 yards from us and fortunately went away from us. I can truthfully say that hunting Cape Buffalo in the thorn brush at bad breath range is quite exciting. We had planned on going back this past August but that didn't work out so we're looking at 2020 or 2021.
    BIG OR SMALL I LIKE THEM ALL, 577 TO 22 HORNET.

    Thanks for the hunting info. I can't imagine being that close to Cape Buffalo - from my reading they are one dangerous animal!

    45-colt Lee 300 grain. 50 yards . Spine shot was all he presented. Several inches of vertebrae removed. His hooves hit his stomach before he hit the ground . Boolit was heard whistling through mesquite trees after the initial whack . One entrance wound. Multiple exit wounds. Click image for larger version.

    I have that mould my lead mix is the same, I sell thousands of them every year to guys for subsonic loads at 1000fps they expand to .400"
    in 9 years of selling them I have never had a complaint of one failing, It is one most excellent boolit.
