Looking for .45 jackets in .75 -.90 in length

Hello, I just joined the site but I've lurked for a while. I'm new to swaging and I'm trying to make jacketed bullets in .45 cal. between 250-350 gr. I have a couple dies already but the jackets I have are only .68 and not long enough to go the the tip of the bullets. Does anyone know who sells jackets in those lengths, or who could make them? Any help is appreciated!

My dies are .452, would the 45 ACP be long enough with the webbing?

    Thanks

I'm also looking for tips, I have both styles that Corbins sells in steel, but I'd like to find aluminum and plastic if possible.

40 S&W should be swageable up to 45 from it's Base diameter of .424 in pretty easily?

Why I never use 40 to make 452/458 is you end up with a whisky-barrel shaped finished product. Put it up against a straight edge and see daylight. If I were the OP, I'd do as M.A.D. suggests and anneal 45acp (0.898" long) and draw down to right below desired swage diameter. Use 45 win mag for 1.15" or cut back any of the 12mm case head diameter rifle brass for any length desired. I just made a batch of 405gr 458 from damaged 308Win brass I've had in a plastic tub for years. Cut first, then anneal, then wet tumble. I wish RCE still made jackets.

Oh yeah wish RCE made jackets still.... It was easier and cheaper for me to pay the export license fee then get them made over here...

Thanks for all the replies, my first choice would be to buy bulk jackets if possible. I'd be interested in making my own jackets out of tubing as a second choice.

Furycustombullets.com doesn't seem to work? I'll try PMing him and see what he can do.

http://www.furycustombullets.com/ works from here; Sometimes parts of the 'net do fail, just ("patiently" LOL) wait and try again later.

I finally got it to work, I disconnected my phone from my home network and I could access it from 3G. Weird but it's definitely on my end. My connection is wide open and I've never had other sites not work so Ill have to figure it out.

I have not, It would be great if you could make a dozen or so of .452 X .85 & .95 I could try! I'd be interested in ordering dies or if the cost is right I'd order bulk jackets from you. Thanks for the reply.

Drawn down 45 ACP to .450 has a length of .925" and makes perfect bullets at this length from 350-500 grains. Just got done making some 400 grain .458" bullets with a customer's die set using jackets from 45 ACP. Using scrap 45 ACP works very well for bullets of this size.
