BruceB 's thread on primer contamination

I tried to do a "search" on the above and couldn't find anything. HELP!

By the way, is old BruceB still with us? His info shows "On Heaven's Range". His last post shows 2015.

Bruce is only with us in spirit.

"On Heaven's Range" means he is with God.

I went and did some searching, and it seems to me that it was not a topic/thread. It was a post:
    http://castboolits.gunloads.com/show...l=1#post790197

in a topic called, Primers degrade?

    and can be found here:

G'Luck! I hope that was what you were looking for...

P.S. - It may not be in the CB.GL. forum. I did not find it as a topic , even by going back thru the topic titles that BruceB posted himself. So, either of such a topic exists it maybe is under a different name, or in another forum ( I searched THIS forum( archives)) or it was in some other members topic.

I have experienced few primer failures.

I did pick up some .38 brass one time, reloaded them, and had multiple failures. I had been loading for many years, and was puzzled. What I found, was someone had used those cases to reload wax bullets, and there was still a wax residue in the cases.

So I can say that paraffin wax will ruin primers.

The summary in that thread is good. I remember Bruce B's detail, but have no clue what his thread's were titled or whether they were a response to another post.
If it was easy, anybody could do it.

Newboy- if you still have those wax bullet cases, best to toss them- typically the flash holes are enlarged.

I have had cartridges carried in the outside pocket of a nylon cordura pack too wet to fire. The primers were not sealed. I also wet down some primed cases with WD 40 then let them dry for a week, All 6 fired though they were shot as primer only.
