Good luck tomorrow. Our firearm season started yesterday. Snowed off and on all day. Didn't see any deer, but I did get to watch a couple squirrels scampering around on the snow.

Rifle season opened last Saturday and I got out this morning, no meat today. Both of these little bucks were chasing does.

A better perspective not zoomed. I didn't go as high as usual because it was windy.

Be safe out there and good luck. Ours started on Nov. 3. Nothing to report so far. Antlerless deer this weekend incl. Friday and Monday. Nothing moved last night. Going again in a few minutes...
If it was easy, anybody could do it.

Ours opened on the 10th. I missed muzzle loading season in October due to truck trouble. Its unusually wet here and our woods are sloppy and hard to get around in right now. Our zone is open for 4 weeks and another zone that I hunt runs until after Christmas.

Good Luck and be safe everyone.

I need a bigger freezer. It's full of fish, deer, pork butts for sausage making. I may go out today since they are predicting snow. Only heard 8 shots yesterday morning (usually hear 30-40).

WV deer hunting seasons look like they threw darts at a calendar. Archery has been in a while, I’ve filled one tag. Antlerless season Pt1 was a couple weeks ago, got one of them too. Next Monday firearm buck and antlerless Pt2 starts, Lord willing I’ll be in the woods. Then more antlerless seasons and Muzzleloader in the middle of December. Cause the deer ain’t running fast enough yet.

Our rifle season starts today. Been seeing plenty of buck activity but no bucks (yet). We are allowed to shoot one doe during MZ season that ended yesterday so wife and I each took one. Just finished up grinding them into burger so now we can be picky when it comes to bucks.
    Good luck everyone.

Im not sure about a national holiday but it may as well be a state holiday. Saw a lot folks loose jobs and women over deer season.
For some reason this is the first year I’ve never been pumped to go. I usually head to deer camp for a week but decided to just stay home this year.
May hunt around the house this year or perhaps not.

Had a good opening morning, shot a good sized 11 pointer, at about 10 this morning, and my wife shot a big doe, at almost the same time. It was nice to wake up to a fresh bed of snow, and yet, not enough to make it hard to walk through.
