Considering a Lyman ALL AMERICAN.

I have a bunch of presses... I HAD a T-MAG and sold it cause it "flexed"...

I really want a T-7... but this Lyman really looks great and at 150$ compared to 400...


Any one got one wanna comment?

I have 4 AA.s set up On bench , great machine . Purchased my first in the 1960,s . Use only J shell holder . all with Push button primer system . all work Flawless. not to good On heavy big calibers for sizing . But good for everything else. you either like them or you Don't

How many J-type shell holders do you have? That the one piece no longer being made.

I too had a T-Mag that flexed and got rid of it. Now have 2 Reddings, model T-7s and love them. Pricey but very strong and smooth. I leave them set up with my favorite calibers I shoot.

I have (and use) THREE of these awesome beauties! Re the "J-" shell holders, that was never a problem for me -- nor should be for you -- as an ADAPTER is available to convert the presses to plain-Jane Lyman/Redding/RCBS type shell holders.Attachment 230453 These are going for a short eighteen dollars on Amazon -- photo added. The one and only IMPORTANT item oft overlooked re this press, is opposite the die being used, underneath, is a small screw which MUST be snugged up to bottom of turret, disabling any "wobble" -- e.g., loss of zero movement of turret. As long as this screw's snug -- imho, you can't beat this press! In my three, I have the original Ohaus vintage powder measures complementing them. I do decap and prime "outboard" -- a depriming single stage press to remove primers before brass tumbling; and, I use an RCBS bench mounted primer for this function. The four stations in the All-American are then great for using cast bullets, as there's room for using Lyman M die; and, Redding crimper dies, too, in the loading sequence.

YES to the AA. Be buying a second at some point,,,,,

i have and rebuilt many from long time of setting. they are one of the best. the primer set up was very nice ,till you have to refill.I dont use it. If you get the primer/shell holder replacement you cant use the arm anyway.
i like the old J holder and they are out there on the bay. i have all they made and have made some they didnt.
have one NEW in box i found about 5yrs back. Just found a near new. so they are out there for about 100--125 but they weigh about 20lb so they dont ship free most times .

I have about a dozen presses. The AA is second only to my Dillon 550b. I like the AA better for working up loads.
