    What makes this SO EXPENSIVE?

I was looking at some other stuff on ebay and this came up. Blaser Carbon Bipod Set Professional HW0000320 $615.00. Of course it has free shipping so I guess that's not so bad!

GEES I wish one could edit the title.

If you Go Advanced in the Edit mode, you CAN modify your title.
If it was easy, anybody could do it.

Thank you for the tip. After all these years on the site I find that out. Oh well.

The discription from the company says it all.

Blaser Carbon Bipod for R8 Professional and R8 Professional Success

Maximum stability for the perfect shot at a great distance. Ultra-light thanks to the combination of high-strength carbon and aircraft aluminium. A magnet in the forearm tip allows for extremely fast assembly. Non-slip rubber caps under the height-adjustable steel feet give absolute stability and flexibility. Fore-end tip for Bipod is included, but can be available *separately. Dimensions: 20cm (7.9") retracted, 30cm (11.8") extended.

BTW, I can save you some money, found it for $607 with free shipping! lol

Carbon fiber, limited production. Niche market for Blaser rifle users (Professional Hunters typically).

Blaser is one of those German companies that caters to the prestige seeking customer who is not price sensitive. I think you will find everything that those companies market is listed for about 4 times the cost of production where most companies are happy with a 50% markup.

Look at the Blaser rifles, the R8, they start at $4600 and go up from there.
In the scope of things that $600 is not all that bad considering the cost of the whole package.
That is if you have deep enough pockets, I don't. But I do like to look.

They’d sell more of them if they put “Tactical” in the description somewhere, too.

Or if some political type threatened investigation/registration/Ban/or Designation as an Assault Weapon Device.

It’s the Blaser name. You can buy a Remington shotgun for the price of the shotgun case they sell.
