That's kinda like my old Belding & Mull in concept. Good measures!

I have an old Redding that works the same way, good measure after you get the adjustable measure set.

I have made Belding and Mull tubes that Pacific shouldn't be much different. Online metals sells mechanical seamless brass tubing by the foot. The Belding and Mull iuuses 1/2" od tube for outer tube. 1 foot of .500 X .030 wall ( .437 ID), 1 foot of .437 OD x .030 wall ( .375 ID), a length of 3/8 threaded rod, 1 1/2: stop collar. 3/8 nuts to match the threaded rod. are needed materials. tools needed a drill press or hand drill, drill bit, JB weld epoxy, tubing cutter, assorted files and sand paper.

Cut 3 or 4" lengths of the .500 tube ( depends on charges you want to throw). Now cut the following from the .437 tube 1 piece 1" long and 1 Piece 1/2" long. cut a 3 1/2" or 4 1/2" length of threaded rod. remove burrs and fit together. Now Mix epoxy. Glue .437 od X1" on end of threaded rod leave 1/4 -3/8: proud. Glue 1/3" x .437 inside end of .500 brass tube and stop collar on same end of .500 tube. Let cure file flat down threaded rod for set screw to set against. You can fill the proud end of the tubing glued to the threaded rod for a square end or use a marble or bearing to make a concave end.

To make for the above measure adjust sizes so outer tube fits measure. Then work down from there. The nice thing with these measures is tubes can be made and set for charges thrown often and labeled then they are always set.

    I have one of those.
    It's missing the measuring tube.
I like it better than the B&M because it doesn't have the spring to close the lever.
On most of my B&M. I changed the spring.
I think the tube is larger in diameter.

My tube is .62" ID and .74" OD. The bottom of the tube is threaded for the insert and it has a lock nut on the insert threads. The tube is 2.2" long and is steel.
