It might take 3 deer lined up to stop one of those!
A slow cannon bal is still a cannon ball lol 235 grain flat point that things gonna have some serious thwopp to it . Like Tx by God said may take 3 deer to stop it . Best of luck and let’s see some pics . Get him to practice more with those open sights . That’s the only the only short coming because that boolit will roll a deer at over 100 yards .

Well tonight he connected with a deer at 178 yards with my Ruger Ranch in 7.62x39 using the Lee 309-150 PC Over 21.5 grn of imr4198 the exit wind was nasty!!
From a chip shot miss with the 8mm to a challenging shot hit with the .30 Russian Short- Grasshopper came a long way in a short time! I used that Lee boolit last year in 30-30 and it works!

Did you make him eat the heart? Raw for bonus points!
Great shooting , there is no feeling like that first deer . Deer heart is good sliced and fried up with onions and peppers .

Sounds like my brother in law. He misses turkeys at 15 yards strutting in the decoys but can drop em every time at 50 yards.
