    Bro in laws first time

My bro in law is hunting for the first time tomorrow and we loaded some 235 max for his 8mm Mauser over 32grn of IMR 4198. It should get the job done at the maximum distance of 35 yards lol

It might take 3 deer lined up to stop one of those!

A slow cannon bal is still a cannon ball lol 235 grain flat point that things gonna have some serious thwopp to it . Like Tx by God said may take 3 deer to stop it . Best of luck and let’s see some pics . Get him to practice more with those open sights . That’s the only the only short coming because that boolit will roll a deer at over 100 yards .

Well I hate to say, he missed a 12 point (eastern count) at 25 yards due to
    Buck fever....

From a chip shot miss with the 8mm to a challenging shot hit with the .30 Russian Short- Grasshopper came a long way in a short time! I used that Lee boolit last year in 30-30 and it works!

Great shooting , there is no feeling like that first deer . Deer heart is good sliced and fried up with onions and peppers .

Sounds like my brother in law. He misses turkeys at 15 yards strutting in the decoys but can drop em every time at 50 yards.

Great job getting it done the cast boolits.
