    Smoke Pole Buck

    Got this fellow this evening, seen crossing a field late then jumped the fence into another . I took off down a fence row to cut him off , I thought he busted me but the farmer I hunt on , his steers came to the rescue . They ran behind me down the other side of the fence . I guess he seen the steers and thought I was one of them . He gave me about a 90yd shot , quarted to me more than I wanted but had to get him where I had safe shot with a big hill behind him . He ran about 80 yds stopped and dropped. T/C system 1 , 370 Maxi Ball [ my mold ] over 90 gr. Goex FF light with a Win.209

    Went in on the corner of the front shoulder , destroyed the paddle bone and exited opposite site just behind the diaphragm . If wish I had pictures after the hide was off . Maxi Ball 's dont expand ( atleast my experience) but still do a number whatever they go through.
