    45 Auto Rim? Lyman 310?

Did they ever offer one? Would the 45 ACP die set work with the AR rim?
I think it would be awesome to have a set for this cartridge. I don't load it much and it would be great for playing around.
    Thanks!

I use Redding .45 ACP dies to load both .45ACP and .45AR on my RCBS RC. Doesn't require any changes to the die setting as long as I use the same bullets. It does require a different shell holder. I don't know about the 310 as I never owned one. james

I suspect they will work fine, but you will need a late model with the adjustable extraction hook, what I call the 311 tool lol

For a Lyman 310 setup in 45 Auto Rim - It's pretty much the same set as for 45 acp - Only difference is you will need a #14 priming chamber for 45 Auto Rim ( i think that's the same priming chamber as for 45-70 )

45AR used Priming Chamber 14 (Same as a 44-40!),but the rest are the same as 45acp.
My chart shows seating punch 423 vice 374.

    Yep - 44-40 and 45-70 both use a #14 priming chamber

Awesome! Looks like I need a set of ACP dies. Already have the 45/70 dies.

    Thanks guys!

For the aluminum or steel universal handles it looks like the 45 ACP adapter is the same as the 45AR (#7) I have two different priming chamber call outs one calls for #17 the other calls for #14. Other dies are the same and as BRASS said the seating screws are different.

You can easily judge the character of others by how they treat those who they think can do nothing for them.

Seating screw is based on actual boolit used and generally looks like the number from a Lyman 450 top punch.

The # 7 handle adapter (45 colt) is required for the 45acp and ar rather than the #2 (06 etc)
This is because the short case expands beyond body diameter and it hangs up in the #2 -
My set has #14 primer for the 45ar -
    My 45/70 uses #17 primer
