    Exclamation No more kik powder!

So I just got an e-mail back from Jerry at Powder Inc. telling me KIK is no longer making the holy black. I have enough, but anyone using it should stock up if you can find it and look for a comparable replacement. Anyone have an suggestions about what will work to replace it? I shoot 45,50,54 and 58 as well as 44-40.Good shooting.

Kik is ok but OE is better. Just use that.

+1 for Old Eynsford. I've tested it against regular Goex and not only does it burn cleaner, it's also more accurate.

My very limited experience with OE is in one rifle, a 140 year old German double rifle in 11.15 X 46R. OE equaled the first batch of the old GOEX Ctg. from the 80's and that was a very good powder. Anymore of my powder purchases will be OE.

Kik was my go to flintlock powder.

I still haven't figured out what to use in my BPCR's when my Goex Express runs out... now this!

I'm guessing Swiss or OE, but I'll wait and see.

looks like KIK (Slovenia)went bankrupt about 2006-2008. In 2010, someone brought 173,514 lbs into the US in bulk to repackage. Guess that finally ran out. I dont know who the importer/supplier was, but most online adds state it ships from supplier.
