    PM sent

Do some research though if your intent is to primarily shoot 45ACP.

Some issues have been noted, including by me.

-Wild West Guns in Las Vegas has a Ruger Redhawk Toklat in 454 Casull. It has barrel just short of 5" in SS. The weapon has been lightened and parts of the weapon have been removed. The barell has had been cut back and ported. The gun had and action job and trigger job done and the action is like a well lubricated bank vault opening and closing. The trigger is fantastic. In addition they milled down the back end of the cylinder to accept moon clips. So you can shoot .45 ACP rounds with moon clips and 454 Casull, 45 Colt without the clips. It is a big hunk of steel but shoots like a dream. https://www.wildwestguns.com/product/wolverine-pistol/

Well OP, what happened to Snowbelts offer ? I'll tell ya I looked around local for one and got impatient looked into Davidsons and low and behold there they were...had it about a month now and still ain't got to shoot it. Got about 15 moonclips now also. I've heard as long as ya get the cases to free float in the clips it shoots reliable. I hope to get out regular soon and find out.

There's always the answer that dates back to the M1917s, buy some .45 Autorim (AR) cases and forget about moon clips. It is a heck of a lot easier than fooling with the clips and the HKS 25-2 for .45 AR cases if you wanted the full moon clips for speedloading (I'm guessing the cylinder layout is the same for the S&W and Ruger). Or don't AR cases work with the Ruger (I'd be surprised if Ruger engineers didn't allow for AR case use, but I've been wrong before)?

BE AWARE!! S&W or Colt clips DO NOT WORK IN the Red Hawk. Nor A.R. cases. Must have Ruger clips sold by Ranch Products.
    BT,DT, Red Hawk is GONE!!

I found a gun collector with a crystal ball that predicted that R.H. would be a collectible worth investing in. I took a loss in my expenses but got my basic price back. Being strictly a shooter I was very relieved of the deception.

OK, I'm surprised. A day I don't learn something is a wasted day. Thanks. As I already had an M1917, I opted for the 4" .45 Colt model.

.45 AR won't work in it either. The rim is too thick. Even if it would work, they would have the same problem as ACP: a long bullet jump to the leade. Remember, this is a .45 Colt chamber with a recess milled for the moon clip. Not a .45 ACP chamber.

I have one and like it. But I understood what I was buying and that while it will shoot .45 ACP, it's not a proper .45 ACP revolver. It is primarily a .45 Colt revolver and will handle any "Ruger only" load you can throw at it. Including 300 grainers at 1300 fps. I also shoot .45 Win Mag in mine (with clips of course), and it shoots them like it was made for them.
