    How much extra height?

Got a new Krag sporter with a front sight very similar - in appearance - to the Springfield band. I put a Lyman #48 on the back end, and after adjusting it, the slide is bottomed out; won't go any lower. Shooting it today, the rifle shoots 13.5 inches higher that point of aim at fifty yards, and 21 inches high at a hundred. I need to get a higher front sight blade - by how much?

    Error X sight radius
distance in inches = the correction for the fire arm

21" X 28" (est of sight radius) = 588 / 3600 = .164 added to front sight to zero at 100 yds. I would go up to .170-.175 so sight isn't bottomed out.
