Just given 8 pound container of it. Seems it may be ball like Unique. Is it usable in my 38/357 and 9mm's?

I am currently loading my 9mm with WSF and getting good results. There is data available on the Hodgdon web site for it.
Winchester Super Field works well in a number of things beyond just shotshells. As mentioned above it works well in the 9mm. Lyman lists loads for the 45ACP. Gp
WSF tracks Herco exactly for velocity in the .38,.357. I think of it as a fine grained slightly slow Unique.

WSF, 473AA and AutoComp all very similar like HS7. Good for gallery rifle loads using Unique data and revolver loads using Herco or PB data.

Keep it to yourself.
Yes Siree Bob ! Winchester has data on their load data center ....seems to be a good fit in several rounds.

The OP transposed the S & F We're talking about WSF
I've used a lot of different powders in 9mm and always came back to WSF. After wandering around a bit, I settled on WSF for 9mm years ago and never looked back. It's a great powder for 9mm Luger.
Obviously Winchester Super Field is also a powder for shotshells and I use it in 20 gauge loads with great results.
It is not my favorite in 38 Special or 357 magnum cartridges. There are some loads for it in 38 Special but I never had good results with it in 38 Special. I used it in 45 ACP for a little bit but I abandoned that use as well. It will work in 40 S&W.
My take on WSF in handgun cartridges is that it is a little more suitable in cartridges with smaller case capacities.
Yup my dyslexia kicks in with my bad typing WSF is it thanks for the help it seems I have a few thousand bullets to cast for it.
WSF has been my goto for 9mm and non-conventional 45 acp pin loads for years. It does wonderful things behind a 250 grain cast in the 45 acp revolver!
Besides 9MM I really like WSF in 40 SW and 10MM. I use Winchester and Lyman published data.
I know this is an older thread, but WSF gets my vote for 9mm also. It's all I've used in 9mm for that last 8 or so years.
I can't find data for WSF in 38. Found plenty in 9mm and 45auto. I'd appreciate any sources or data for 38 anyone can offer.
All my 9mm loads for last 5 years have been WSF. My loads chrono at 1064.
Is like to find some WSF loads for 44 special too, if anyone has that and is willing to share.
I use WSF in my Sub-Compact .40 using Boolits, flows great.
Shagged some locally, years back in the last powder scare, 8-10 years ago.

Wsf is almost as versatile as unique in a small grain that meters extremely well in powder measures I used it for 9mm, .45 & .38 with great results
.
Ive had good results with WSF in shotguns but mostly for the 9mm & 38 super cast or jacketed bullets must of used at least 5 lb so far
