    new GSG-1911 great plinker!!

I gave in to an impulse buy and bought a brand new GSG-1911 in 22 LR. What a terrific pistol and an outstanding bargain! If you love 1911's like I do then this gun is for you.

I have fired it twice now. It devours everything that I have tried in it so far:

    Remington Golden Bullets
    CCI Standard plinkers
    Winchester Super-X
    Federal Auto Match

It is well built and accurate. It comes with several front sight inserts of various heights. It is a heavy, quality built handgun that stands on it's own or as a 45 ACP trainer.

They can be had online for as low as $208.

Buy one guys, you won't be disappointed.

My son shot it yesterday and he is going to the range after work this evening to buy his own. We were shooting steel swingers at 50 yards, 75 yards and 100 yards. He is now 30 years old and I haven't seen him smile like that since he was a kid.

I have been considering one of those as well --
Outdoor shooting is not as convenient for me here in georgia, more outdoor ranges and of course BLM land in calif.
I just bought a new ruger PC 9 carbine for indoor shooting so the gsg 1911 will have to wait a bit --
I is simple to buy here though, about 1/2 hour paper work - free - and out the door with your new weapon.

I bought one shortly after they came out and really like it, you are right about the accuracy, way more than most 22 pistols. The same pistol is sold under the Sig label.

I lost count around 15,000 rounds through the GSG 1911 I have. It’s been a great gun though the slide stop notch starts to peen back due to the pot metal slide.

Mine was peening at less than 1,000 rounds, good to know that it keeps on ticking. Sold mine because it just wasn’t accurate with a suppressor. Might try another one soon.
