Curse of setting up to do case forming again, strikes again

Someone on here was good enough to make me a jig for holding 30-06, and another for 223, for cutting cases shorter.

Only one problem - These jigs are FAR too wide to be held in the Harbor Freight chop saw I bought.



The other photo won't upload (weird and annoying.) It shows that the plastic jig is ~1/4" wider than the jig will hold, otherwise the same.

This has been pretty maddening...

You can find them jigs on ebay for under 20 bucks.. there's all kind of jigs available made for the harbor freight saw...

Yes, the ones I find for 308 to 45 SS conversion, though, are set up to cut the case WAY too short. Going to have to look at adapting one if I can't shave ~1/4" off the sides of these...

What is the maximum width of the chop saw opening?

Would taking a 1/4", from each side) fit, or do you need more taken off the sides?

What type of material is that case holder?

I have a mill and can shave the sides, if you want to send them too me,
the only costs will be, shipping back to you.

I think a local friend can do it for me; Like 2/3 of everything else, my best calipers are missing temporarily, I'll find them and measure. Something like 3/16" from each side will need to go, he has a CNC mill so it'll do

I just use the L E Wilson case holder for the Wilson trimmer, case is held square, clamp a stop block on the rail for length.
