Lee Auto Drum Leaking.

I started a thread about this 11/2 yrs ago when I got my Lee Turret Press. The powder measure leaked everything but stick powders. I sent it back to Lee, they "worked on it" and it leaked just as bad as it did when I returned it. I should have sent it back for a refund/ exchange but I didn't. I bubbaed a cup under the drum to catch the spillage and put up with it.It leaks now worse than ever. I have a Uniflo that I was using with my single stage press that I liked. Is there any way to get it to be case activated and fit on the Lee Turret? Or should I chance buying another Auto drum and hope for the best.

they were shipping drums that were out of round and replaced all my no-trued up drums.

Yes there is remove the disconnector

I'll call Lee and ask for Peter, Thanks Grmps. What do you mean "yes there is remove the disconnector? I removed the linkage on the Autodrum that you have to reset each time, is that what you are talking about? I have seen linkage that are made by Hornady that reviews have said will fit the Uniflow measure and make it case activated for progressive presses. I wondered if this would fit the Lee turret. I know my Uniflow doesn't leak anything no matter how fine.

Same thing happened to me with the auto drum. It leaked with every powder from Bullseye, Tightgroup, Universal and H4895. Sent it back. You can look at getting a https://www.midwayusa.com/product/80...ed-linkage-kit for a uniflow.

New drum seems better, leaked AA#9, but not as bad. Doesn't seem to be leaking AA#5-which I hope continues, I use a lot of AA#5. I don't think that I could fit that Uniflow onto that turret press with any sort of linkage, I think it's too big.

Two Lyman 55's I have been using both since early 1970's ...neither have ever leaked one grain of powder , any powder , ball, stick or flake .......might want to think about it .

Ya know when I buy cheap tools from HF I expect those tools to work for so long.
They are going to break or wear out faster than higher quality stuff. Some tools it does not
pay to buy cheap, they last longer and work better.

If the OP had a house fire, I wonder what his insurance agent would say
about him using tools that leaked gun powder?

Probably not much since my reloading shed is 100 ft from my house. But thank's for what I'm sure was a well meaning response

And how much have you got to loose IF there was a fire.

I don't need any extra powder floating around my loading bench.

And H-110 flows better than water.
