    sukivel,
If the frame can handle 45-70 then 44 mag shouldn’t be a problem. Have fun.

About 10 years ago I gave away a NEF Pardner 12ga because it wouldn’t even sell for $50. I kick myself for that. Hadn’t got into gunsmithing for myself so I didn’t have a use for it.

One of the things I don’t like about these single shot shotguns, especially in 12ga, is the recoil. Making them into pistol caliber carbines takes care of that which makes them fun to shoot.

I found an older(nice patina) H&R 16 gauge for cheap. I would rather sleeve the entire blank into the 16 ga barrel to save the overall look, and then trim the shotgun barrel to length. I don’t see why it would be a problem?

Sounds like a plan. Mapp55b has a 3 barrel set on a Sav 94 that is amazing.

tbx-4, thanks for the suggestions on spring and trigger on my rifle. I'll have to dig that bad boy out and have a look again.
