Air Rifle Shooting in the Kansas City Area

Anyone interested in shooting air rifles in the KC area? Ft. Osage gun Club is going to start having air rifle matches our first match will be next Saturday Oct. 27 with a noon start this will be a short day for sure but we are looking for a date to use for a full day of shooting. We will offer two offhand matches at 25 yards, two offhand matches at 50 yards. Also will have two 25 yard bench matches and two 50 yard bench matches. We are planning on having a silhouette range set up maybe? We do have room for a Field Target range but that will be sometime in the future as we are working on a small budget and funds are limited. There could be some re-entry targets available if interested and could also set up a 10 meter range.

So as you can see we are new to this sport and willing to work with the shooters to give them what they want.

For these matches there will be a $5 sign-up fee and a $5 per agg with a 75% payback on the agg scores.

The range is located just off 50 Higway about 30 miles South East of Kansas City the address is

    Ft. Osage Gun Club
    1637 NW 550th RD
    Kingsville MO

Hope to see you there and any question please feel free to contact me here with a message or PM

Can you give some more details about the course of fire? Open to any class of air rifle? Scopes or no? Something I might like to try, though I'm a few hours away.

The offhand would be a scope class and a any metallic sight class two animal targets at 25 yards and one animal and one round bull at 50 yards.

The benchrest class would be one class for Springers and one class for PCP any sights. The bench rest matches will be fired at the World Rimfire and Air Rifle Benchrest targets. There are 25 bulls on each target with a 30 minute relay. So if you decide to shoot the bench agg you would shot four targets so you would fire 100 shots for score on the bench targets there is a limit on the calibers .17, .20, and .22.

We'll see how this goes and after reading about how the aggs were fired in Arizona on the big air rifle match that they just completed we will probably change this benchrest agg around some but that depends on what the shooters want to do and we are open to ideas to help make this work.
