    Marlin Camp 9 recoil spring

I got the different recoil springs for this rifle.
All three the factory, the Wolf 9mm and 45acp Power custom.
    All three work fine.
What's strange is the 45acp spring ejects just as well as the 9mm spring.
The charging handle is noticeably harder to pull back.
Since the spring is stronger, would that mean it would not hit the rear of the frame as hard????
    Makes sense to me.
The buffer takes a beating on this rifle.

Yes, I can concur. A more stiff spring should reduce the pounding on the frame and buffer.

but, the stiffer the spring, the harder it slams home to closing the bolt.
when changing spring, it is a compromise of softer at one end of the cycle, and harder at the other

    Take a look at this:

I have both the 16.5# spring and a new snubber plus a spare. Works.
