I've had all my accounts with Wells Fargo for 18 yrs. I have never had any problems with firearms purchases, ammo, etc. Debit or Charge, I'm happy.

I like AmEx. They are non-political, and give the best customer service and fraud protection of all credit card companies.

Where MC and Visa are accepted, I sometimes see: "Sorry, we cannot accept American Express". Do they have a higher fee structure?

My VISA is through USAA Federal Savings Bank and I've never had any issues. If you are a USAA member, the best way to go.

Yes, they charge a higher percentage. A lot of AMEX’s products are charge cards, not credit cards. So they make no money off interest like Visa and MC do. I have a corporate AMEX. I don’t ever use it. It’s really worthless in foreign countries. And their rewards program sucks. There are to many places that don’t accept it.

As I understand it, Wells Fargo is, while not necessarily supporting the 2A, they are not discriminating against legal manufacturers, dealers, etc., either.

about 10 years ago when Wells Fargo bought my bank. the no guns allowed sign on the door came down. I have carried my browning h-p in the bank many times just under a tee shirt. never a word from anyone. I have bought many guns and supplies even joined the nra with w-f visa card never a problem.

Businesses that don't accept AmEx don't get my business. They have the best fraud protection of all the credit card companies. As someone who has been the victim of identity fraud twice, I can't tell someone who hasn't how bad it is.
