My .54 Lyman Plains Pistol is my all time favorite muzzleloader, period. I killed a buck at 40 feet with it and I was shaking with excitement after the shot like I was a kid again! Enjoy yours, Vearl.
My uncle from Buffalo, Oklahoma was named Vearl, too.

This is a kit gun. Going to take my time building it.
The name vearl is pretty uncommon. I grew up in chickasha, okla. Been here my whole life.

They're cool and as you've had two you already know they're accurate as sin. Mine is a 54 cal. and within range limitations I wouldn't hesitate to drop the hammer on a deer with it. I'm sure I'd be just as Texas described....shaking like a leaf in a stiff breeze. Doggone it I need to haul out some muzzleloaders and burn some charcoal!!

Lyman rifles and pistols are good quality. Love the Lyman GPR in 50 cal.
I've been to Chickasha many times on the way to Buffalo. Nice land there.
Here's my Lyman .54 PP. I want a lightweight .54 caplock rifle but they seem to be quite rare.
