I am still working on it,today used 28 grains of 2206,very close to H 4895,one ten shot group at 100 yards,3“ Group, this was with a 247 grain as loaded.Australian MF berdan cases and a 1 grain Dacron filler, rounds crimped with a Lee Factory Crimp Die.
Another load with a 230 grain as loaded and 28 grains of 2206,Dacron filler,Berdan primed cases,Lee Factory Crimp Die used as well grace a 4.45“ group,3.1“ Vertical and 3.6“ horizontal.
The 230 grain Bullet looks very similar to the 314299,just a bit heavier.I am sizing to 314“.
Fired 37 rounds this afternoon,no leading, very happy.Alloy roughly half old wheel weights and half sheet lead, quenched from the mould and lubed with 50% Bees wax and 50% moly grease.

    Pat,
The 6.34 mm and 5.5mm I purchased off a mate who closed down his shop years ago,the 6.34 primers are down to about a dozen.I do have some old copper coloured army berdan primers that I have had for forty years or so,I will give them a try to make use of my old brass, not much help to you,I am afraid. The 5.5mm RWS berdan primers are very good in 8Z cases.

This is what I have found to work best in my 1943 long branch 2 groove.
    Noe 316299 sized .316. (Drops @ .317)
    22 grains of h4198 .5 grains Dacron
    CCI 200 primer
    Norma case
Throat is .318 but will shoot 2"-2.5" groups @ 100 yards.

28.5 gns of 3031 and a 210gn cast bullet from an 1896 Martini Enfield produced this group at 100 yards, sized to 0.314".

Hold Still Varmint; while I plugs Yer!
