    Alternatively you can put a spacer under the bullet . This works well for me . I use 3 cereal box card wads under a short bullet in a 54/44 sabot , I think that the reason this helps with this combo is it gives a cleaner release from the sabot,

    Actually sabots, e.g., from MMP, are available for either .452" CB's or .429" (.431" in my case) CB's. In fact, I got outstanding 50 yd. accuracy using the MMP sabot and Ly. 429421 (Keith design).*

    Like the above post i use NOE's copy of the RCBS 45-300 but hollow point in the mmp black sabot. Out of a CVA Optima 50 cal its deadly
