Wts: 1892 Rossi 45 Colt Octagonal barrel!!!!!!!

This one would be difficult to upgrade from. It's action is butter smooth and can be worked with one finger. It loads amazingly smooth and drops the shells right behind your back. The stock was stripped and finished with John Kay's original Winchester red oil. It took over a month for me to refinish it and it shows in person. I'm only selling it to fun a different hobby. I'm only looking to get my money out of it. I paid $500 shipped so I would like $500 plus shipping OBO. Payment can be done by PayPal or Money order, either is fine with me.

Do you know the bore diameter? How accurate is it? Kind of leary of the 45 colt after my uberti ordeal.

that's a good question to ask. I have a 24" Octagonal SS Rossi R92 in 44mag and it's barrel is HUGE. So big that a correctly sized (.433") lead bullet in case is too wide to pass through the guides. So I'm running .431" jacketed bullets bought from Everglades Ammo in Naples,FL.

On the other hand I have a 24" Octagonal Case Hardened Rossi 357 that is a tack driver with 180gr gas checked lead. Well maybe not exactly a tack driver, but 3" groups at 100 yards with a Tang peep sight is routine. Occasionally a little smaller.

I just slugged it and it is .451". I have shot both Xtreme plated .452 diameter and Missouri bullet Co .452 and it rings the 8" steel plate regularly at 100 yards from a rest. Please don't hold a lot of weight on that because I don't shoot that often and I'm far from the best shot.

I don't think this rifle will disappoint in the hand or at the range.

MUST NOT LOOK AT THOSE PICTURES AGAIN!!

Sorry, I was typing out loud. Really nice looking gun. If I didn't have a kid in college and a car payment at the same time..... Great looking gun. Free bump to the top.

Geeeh, was thinking the same thing. Really good price from what I've seen, and you can't get a new one even with round barrel without a lot of searching. I do not need another caliber to load for .. someone buy this gun

24" and is much better at "reaching out and touching something" than my 20" Rossi's.

And look at that first picture...I'm blown away this is still for sale.

If I didn't have a bunch of 45 Colt lever actions already...it would be gone.

I guess OBO means something different to everyone. Next time you want an exact price just specify that.
