    WTS Winchester 1897 1909 date

Cut down shooter grade 12 gauge. Houge pad, web sling. Wood is solid. Hammer spur chipped but easily thumbed. 100% reliable, 0% collector interest. Remove pad & sling swivels = CAS shotgun. $350 shipped. Might do a FTF near Northwest FW Tx.
I have more pics for serious buyers.
First I'll TAKE IT then PM rules.
    PMO, personal check, No paypal.
    Thanks for looking

These old shotguns are famous for a reason. And not just the fact that they are movie stars.

There must be something wrong with these guns. They keep on working for 100+ years and never
have to be sent back to factory.

It is a takedown but I never do. It is worn in well. Whoever gets it will enjoy the old JMB beast.

According to your tape measure the barrel puts you in Randy Weaver territory.

According to Federal law it puts me in Legal territory but thanks for your input anyway. My FACTORY 870 measures 18-1/8", this one is 18-1/4" if you can read a tape measure!

Yes, I can read a tape measure.
It has always been my understanding that 18.5" was the shortest length on a shotgun.

That might be a safety margin that a lot of people like to use. However, the rule as I understand it, is 18 inches or 46 centimeters, for a minimum.

Now we have a discussion thread and getting a censorship. Hopefully that is not an infraction.

It is 18" for a shotgun and 16"for a rifle. Mods please close thread and thanks for allowing discussion.
