Pewter grabs today including nice heavy eagle

Hit 3 thrift shops around here this morning. Came away with some more stuff including a nice heavy eagle, maybe 4-5lbs by it's self at $4. Not weighted, base is hollow. Bad thing on that is my son has claimed it for a shelf in his room. lol So it may not become an ingot. Adding couple shots of the base of the eagle.

I find that if you drive over the pewter BEFORE you bring it home, more of it ends up in the smelting pot

    Nice score

Lets have a look at the back of the 4 plates on the left. International uses that pattern but so does Wilton.

Mr. Eagle may have to have an accident. Maybe he ingested some toxic lead at about 900fps.

Back of those plates say International Pewter 277 88, eagle hallmark. Click image for larger version.

I think you should let the eagle soar on the sons shelf for awhile. One day it will crash on the floor and get damaged. Then just claim it and that is another 900 fps soaring eagle.
