It looks like an old funnel die for an RL300

With the shorter length it may be for a 35 cal rifle cartridge like 35 rem or win 35 whelen. I believe 38,357 mag and max would be closer to the top stems length. The shorter funnel means it takes a longer case to make it operate the measure.

I have two funnels marked “D”. The longer one which is modern I use for 38 Sp. The shorter one is 2.61 inches log. I use it for 357 Mag. I got it from a member here who told me it’s for 357 Mag.

I have seen shorter and longer funnels for use with different cartridges that are now just combined like the 38/357

I was under the impression that all bottleneck cartridge funnels are the shouldered inside type because the sizer uses and expander button so it would be redundant to expand the cases again while dropping powder.

Though it would make sense for us cast folks that don’t shoot j words.

    Greetings

If its a dillon funnel....the short pistol funnels were used with the 450 push/pull machines where the funnel was fixed at the top of the powder die with a set screw.

    Hope this helps
