    Bullet jam

Maybe this isn't right place to post, correct me if I'm wrong.. But watch this amazing video concerning seating depth, distance from lands and moa results. Seems .007 from lands was much more accurate.

No Problem. This is yet just another pertinent "variable" in the quest for sweet accuracy.

This is a great video because I was just wondering about COL and how it affects accuracy. Probably more important in rifles but I would imagine it would affect handguns as well. As a matter of fact I have some more 9mm load development to do and COL is one variable I need to play with.

Not new to reloading so to speak but as far as COL is concerned and how close we can get a projectile to the lands....what's the best way to calculate? Interested in hearing some different ideas. I know this is different from gun to gun but for instance in a Savage Axis 308 or a Winchester M70 (Mine is actually a Ted Williams -pre-64 I think).

The smaller the case - 9mm, 380, etc the more drastic the effect of changing COL on pressure. Be careful shortening the COL, you are reducing internal powder space.

I think you would find that .007 was the best for this rifle. In my years of testing I have found that the "jam" varies from individual guns. The Hornady cartridge over-all length gauge is the tool to measure the proper jam for your gun.

This is a little off topic but if I am not mistaken he is shooting powdercoated bullets.
