    475 Linebaugh

I have a Encore with a 475 Linebaugh barrel on it
shot it for the upcoming deer season to check the
groupings at 50 and 100 yards it was way better than I
    expected at 100
I am using a 395 gr Miha 477-640 hp cast from 20-1 alloy
checked and sized to .4745 and powder coated with orange
    from ol Smokes powder stop
the barrel is 9.5"and made by Match Grade Machine
it wears a 4xLeupold because the Ultra Dots literally fell apart
    on this machine
deer season will be exciting for sure

I have used .475 L on deer and elk and love it. It puts game down with authority. The bullets I was using were all hardcast from 400-425 gr[20-22 BHN] but, since I have switched to 355 gr WFN at approx. 15 BHN for deer running them at 1150 fps. I have a 30mm Ultradot on mine since I first got it 5 yrs ago with no problems. What speeds are you running that bullet? One thing for sure is you should get plenty of expansion. Sure would like to see pictures of the deer you shoot? Good luck hunting.

I love that mold for my 480 Ruger and when loaded to the 480 top end is nipping at the heels of the 475 L with much data overlapping.

All you’ll have to do is put it in the vitals and that’ll be all she wrote.

I kinda missed the boat on the .480's and wish I would have bought one of them first. Although I love my .475 L, all of my needs would have been well suited with a .480.

I shoot mostly 480 Ruger in my 475 Linebaugh Encore bbl. I long seat the bullets. I have that HP mould from Mihec it's a great bullet and I also load a 440 grain from a LBT mould it's a WFN.
